One-day seminar in Rakinkotka fisher village

Rakinkotka is an eastern Gulf of Finland paradise for nature enthusiasts. It offers facilities and services for all kinds of occasions in an unforgettable idyllic fisher village milieu. Nature on the island is exceptionally diverse and beautiful.

Rakinkotka is located about 15 km eastward from Hamina. We have different size vessels for transporting you safely to the island. On the island we have well equipped conference space for 80 people and cosy accommodation for 53 people.

After a successful day of meetings, you can enjoy various activities offered by Rakinkotka Island. You can fish using several different methods, visit a push-up salmon trap, play forest golf or solve puzzles around island's nature trail. In the end of the day a refreshing swim in the sea and soothing heat of our traditional seaside sauna or the unique "rock smoke sauna" are apt to raise appetite for dinner. We serve delicious and fresh seafood.

Admiring beautiful sunset at the seashore enjoying traditional fisherman's drink is a perfect finish for a productive day.

9.15 We meet at Tervasaari in Hamina. When arriving to Hamina city centre take the first right turn after crossing the bridge. (Road signs saying Tervasaari)
9.30 - 10.30 Crossing from Hamina to Rakinkotka Island
10.30 - 11.00 Setting up camp and eating lunch at the lean-to. (Fish soup, fresh bread, coffee / tea)
11.45 - 16.00

Meeting as the Sea Club
13.30 Break. Coffee or tea and home baked coffee bread.
17.00 - 18.30 Outdoor recreation - fishing or other nature related activities.
Sports drinks are available.
18.30 - 20.30 Smoke sauna with appropriate sauna drinks (beer, cider, long drink, water or soft drinks available).
20.30 - 23.00 Dinner and spending time together at Lohitupa or at the lean-to.
For starters: borsch soup
Main course: Smoked or grilled fish to chicken breast. Lingonberry sauce, salad and sides.
Dessert: Camp fire pancakes and jam.
Drinks: water, beer, wine and shots.
Coffee + coffee bread.

Our conference rooms are equipped with whiteboard, screen, data and overhead projectors.

Price includes: services and servings mentioned above. Other drinks are added to the bill.
We have A-rights to sell alcoholic drinks on the island.

Additional services (extra cost):
  • Staying overnight and breakfast.
  • Souveniers, for example "kuksa"-cups with logo, fleece jackets, Vimpa hats, multi-purpose knives etc.
  • Visiting a push up salmon trap

  • Boat trip with Korsö 1100 Pro motor boat for 12 persons max.
Number of participants: minimum of 8 persons, maximum 40 persons
Terms of delivery:
 Programme can be cancelled 30 days before the appointed starting date. If the cancellation is done after 30 days before the event starts, we bill 25% of price for 30-14 days, 50 % for 14-7 days and 75 % if cancellation is done under 7 days before the event.
